Myth or Fact: Hard Coat Stucco Does Not Experience The Same Moisture Problems As EIFS

This is a myth.  Hard Coat Stucco can have the same types of moisture intrusion issues that EIFS can have.  The reason is EIFS is less expensive to test for moisture when compared Hard Coat Stucco.  As a result, a perception has developed that EIFS is more prone to moisture intrusion issues versus Hard Coat Stucco.  The truth is both systems will experience the same types of problems if they are not installed correctly.
